Leg/Knee Locks

I bought and refurbished a 16 foot Greg Tatman. One of the things that this boat does not have that I want to add is knee/leg locks in the front of the boat. Does anybody have any advice on how to create something like this? I'm assuming there is some type of template that somebody has out there. Any info would be appreciated....Thanks Wayne

Hello Wayne, I can only help a little. I know that it is very easy too position them too far apart,somewhere between 18" and 16" is all You want them apart.The ones on mine,taken from Rogers book are 3" thick,9" long, and 3.5" deep. They should be shaped as to not tend to snag a loop of fly line. they are usualy fastened with 2, 1/4" lag screws from the back side and with or without sealant
