Randy,
Bummer!! I heard about this festival on "thecentralcascades.com" tourism site. That info says the event is held on the third Saturday in April (21st). I made work arraingements around that date so I could attend. Now I may be stuck not being able to attend.
Man this just ruined my whole day.

We always have the festival on Oregon's "official" opening day of fishing season. I didn't know that information was up on thecentralcascades.com website.
I was running late with information this year because of a new job in San Francisco and a Grand Canyon trip that I just got back from.
Permalink Reply by Jim Rubino on April 3, 2012 at 9:41am sounds like fun, do folks usually stay at the lodge there, or just come in and float for the day?

Permalink Reply by Randy Dersham on April 3, 2012 at 12:48pm There are eight rooms at the lodge. Debbie can take care of you at 541-822-3630 if a Bed & Breakfast is your thing. Some people stay, many stay in other places or camp, and many just show up for the day.
There is a short float, only three miles, in the morning for those that want a little time on the water but this is an all day event from 11:00 to 5:00 with most of the boats on trailers on the lawns.
If the weather is good we should have around 50 boats and a few hundred people.

I can't make it up this year from Colorado, but I will one of these years!
What do I have to do to get one of those posters? That is outstanding!
Best Wishes, Hal J.

The posters are $12.00 in the good ink and paper. You can order them from Debbie at Eagle Rock Lodge. 541-822-3630.
