Anyone on this board fishing Michigan water? I have covered quite a bit of water recently. The PM (Pere Marquette), the Muskegon, Kalamazoo, Rogue, and some small streams not-to-be-named. I have very marginal success so far, how are you guys doing with your Michigan spring fishing?
thank you to everyone for your comments and help. I sanded her all out and in the end decided to use teak oil on it. She looks great, maybe another coat of oil might be needed, but I as soon as I am done with this, I am off for 2 days of fishing on the Pere Marquette.
so I have been toying with the idea of glassing the floor on the inside. I know that it would not look the best, but I think that I prolong the life it considerably. Has anyone seen this done before?
I live south of Atlanta near the river as well....Newnan. I fish and drift for trout mostly....the Hooch below Lanier, the Hiwassee in TN, the Toccoa near Blue Ridge and the Flint River near Thomaston for shoal bass. I also float the Hooch below West Point for white bass and hybrids.
Hi Brad - welcome to the site... I know the Livingston area - any wood boat from that part of the country has good genes and great lines... hope you enjoy all the wood boat "chatter"
