Thank you, I'm installing a side mount anchor (off the back right corner) and I'm looking on ebay for a vintage 5/6hp moter with attached gas tank. Hope to fined a motor in good condition or have it rebuilt, would be nice to keep a vintage look with the wood boat and I won't be using it every weekend (I wish). Thanks again for the info and great looking boat love the paint!
Good morning Georgia Drifter, I noticed that you have the only pictures of a drift boat with a motor, questions, what size is it and how long is the shaft? I'm building a 16' Don Hill drift boat (almost at finishing) and I live in Chicago so will be fishing mostly in Wisc./Mich. and would like to drift down and motor back up the river. Any info would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Eric
Georgia Drifter, what waters are you drifting down there? I grew up in the greater Atlanta area, and go back a couple of times a year. I have family that lives on the Chattahoochee, but on the southern end below Atlanta, so I am not sure I want to fish the water coming out of the city.
Hey Ga., I'm in NC building a S&G drifter but I can't get away from the beauty of those wooden boats. I'm already thinking of a Tatman. I hope you don't mind a few questions.
Do you have the 16 footer with the 48" inch bottom?
What hp motor do you have? Long Shaft?
How does it go under power?
Did you modify the transom for the motor?
NIce looking boat. I know you enjoy it. jb

Welcome! I'm glad you jumped on. We get a little North West centric so it will be great to have a Southern perspective.
