A friend of mine, Herb Robbins is pictured in this issue rowing a boat of a similar color. He sold the boat to me. I resold it to another customer. It was a Keith Steele.

Looking forward to getting the project behind me so we can do some bird hunting and tie a bunch of flies for next year.  So nice to hear from you.  Hope you are casting a fly and doing lots of smiling.

Greg,

Please send direct to my email address:

douglascole7@comcast.net

The WB site is cumbersome for me to use and seems to clip the content.

TNX.

Greg,

I was reading the HB 20th anniversary book. This is where I saw the part about you building wooden boats. Brad Jackson and I both live in Bellingham and plan to come down together for the reunion. I've never been able to attend so am looking forward to the event and seeing old friends.

Just discovered this weblink today. Please reply direct: douglascole7@comcast.net

Hi Greg,

While reviewing info on classmates for the upcoming Hudson's Bay 40th reunion, I read you were building wooden boats in Eugene. Sounds like you graduated and moved to Butte. I've been involved in wooden boats as well, even writing an occasional article for WB magazine.

Will you be in Vancouver August 7?

Hey Greg,
Thanx for the input. I usually do a sloped scarf but I thought I might be missing something. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get the opinion of an expert.
Thank you
Mike

Hey Greg,
I just got one of your kit boats that is about ten years old I am guessing. I am curious, it looks like the scarfs are a sloped scarf with a step in them. If you don't mind me asking how did you cut these? It looks like that would be easier to line up when glueing and the ones on this boat are very nice.
Thanx,
Mike

i just finished repairing a 1983 16x48 that you built when you worked for don hill. I was interested, how many boats did you build in that shop?
