No, didn't build the Rozinante, it was built by Damian McLaughlin, Falmouth, MA in 1997; my wife and I bought it in 2007 and are the 2nd owners. Plans for the Herreshoff Rozinante are available through WoodenBoat magazine archives. The boat is a 1956 design and most have been carvel planked, but our hull is cold-molded western red cedar with mahogany and plywood decking. After first seeing Rozinante's in the late '80's I was kind of struck by it's lines, it's known as a "Canoe-yawl", rather narrow beam, about 6,000 pounds displacement, it flows through flat water in the lightest of breezes...and pounds through the chop in a blow too...
We have a 16' Rogue dory I built from one of Ray Heaters' kits about 3 years ago that we love to float on the river here(the Snake). Good luck in your anticipated project! Cheers, Jeff

It's an '83 - last year they were made and they only sent 300 of those to the U.S. that year. It was my "winter project" before I built the boat. I built from a Tatman kit and made a number of modifications to turn it into a Steelhead Chasin machine... took me a lot of hours - but I was slow and careful and inexperienced in "woodworking".
