Retired lawyer, ad-man, teacher. Lived many years in New Orleans. Furniture builder/hobbiest. Built driftboat model while living in "Chateau FEMA" while house rehabed. Moved to Oregon Dec. 07- Currently building the real thing-Mckenzie double ender with transom via Roger Fletcher plans.

My boat is pretty much a Roger Fletcher product. I built his model, read his book and had lunch with him to further pick his mind.

Have currently finished assembly of ribs, and milled all 16' Ash to size. When i manage to get my workshop up to 60 I will epoxy ribs-they are Alaskan Yellow Cedar. Trim is Oregon Ash. Stem is whie oak and transom is Honduran… Continue

Ask question on the forum. There are tons of people here that can help out with the little questions. We would all love to see a progress blog too. It's fun for us pros to watch things come together and it answers a lot of questions for the people just starting out.
