Thanks for the comment.  It was a lot of fun building it; a real learn as you go project.  The biggest challenge was finding the right woods in the lengths I needed.  Fortunately we have some good supply houses in Phoenix, but the majority of stuff came from the big box stores.  I knicknamed it "Big Box Bob"  I'll give it a workout this year and see how it holds up,  probably heading for the San Juan in May. Thx again

Yup, got the boat wet! Took it on a 7 day trip on the colorado starting at Loma through Westwater then continued on through to the Cataract put in. The boat did awesome. Already got a list of improvements to work on when I get the chance.

I have not had a lot of time since I got back since rivers are starting to go off. Work starts soon, then I will have little time to work. Thinking of starting a fishing boat this winter, but we will see.

One sheet of 17 oz Bi-axial on bottom with graphite epoxy flow coats, 6oz uni on the sides. Looks good... I think.

Terry,

I would be more then happy to have you stop by any time you want to see the boat and offer up any advice/help that you think of. There is a beer and lunch in it for you! I finished glassing, but paint comes tomorrow then flipping it back over and doing finish interior work for the next week or so. As im sure you can tell im totally new to this, just taking it one step at a time, I feel like every time I get to the end of one process I am starting to get it down (the 9th frame by far the best and quickest, just like the last piece of glass!).

Just let me know, I would be more then happy to talk to someone in person and show them what I have done so far!

Terry,

I may need a hand when it comes to fiberglassing and epoxing. I have never done it and am the most nervious for it. Just might want a quick how to lession, if you have any experience with it.
