Re-restoring my old Keith Steele driftboat.

I will be restoring my Keith Steele soon.  This boat I originally restored in 1980 and met Keith Steele himself when I went to Leaburg, Oregon to get a new rope seat.  At that time he told me my boat…Continue

Hi Ernie, Like you I acquired a Keith Steele driftboat in 1979, it was full of water and three full garbage cans of living, stinking shit that I cleaned out. I got it home and dried it out for two weeks then began the long laborious task of…

Profile Information

Hometown:
Oregon city, oregon
About Me:
A fisherman pretty much all my life. Restored a Keith Steele driftboat in 1980 that I was told by Keith himself was "old enough to vote" at that time. It has faithfully and beautifully gotten me down many northwest rivers since then and now needs to be re-restored. I am thinking of copying this boat and building one from scratch.
Boats I own:
slalom kayak, 22ft. aluminum jet, driftboat, and pontoons.
