Turned out great! Decked Rouge with oiled internal finish and painted outside. You guys were right, that was a hard build, high angles broke a few pieces at critical points. But I learned a ton and cant wait to get started on a 14' fishing rig. I would post more pics, but I already sold it to pay for a new raft and materials for a new boat.

Ryan, Chris Towles on this forum was a great help esp when it came to painting (i think he is a professional painter). He would be a great person to get in contact with.

I have been told that the more shinny the finish, the more little flaws are visible. Just make sure that surface is nice and smooth to start off!

Ryan, here is a good primer on "shiny" painting. http://www.acbsphl.org/Tips_and_hints/Topside_Painting_Rolling_and_... I think it will help you out. The bottom line is just how shiny do you want your boat and how much time, money and effort you want to put into it.
